Giclée Canvas Coating
Highly flexible, water-based protective varnish, particularly recommended for Canvas fabrics. Seals the surfaces and edges of digital prints and protects reliably against dirt and abrasion. To be applied with roller, spray or automated aquipment.
Clearstar™ ClearShield Typ C is the ideal coating for Giclee canvas applications. It is formulated to work with solvent or pigmented inks on water resistant micro porous and porous ink jet receptive layers and exhibits the flexibility required for stretching canvas with no cracking of the clear coat. Clearstar™ ClearShield Typ C reduces or even eliminates pinholes normally encountered when applying Liquid Laminates to ink jet coated canvas. Clearstar™ ClearShield Typ C can be applied with roller, spray or automated aquipment. It enhances colors and will not yellow. Consumption will be approx. 100-120g/m², 1 liter of ClearShield Typ C will suffice for some 8-10m². Stir up well before processing to guarantee an evenly distribution of the matting agents and to avoid an unsightly surface.
