Many talk about it, we actually do something about it: Rauch GmbH takes concrete measures to support the sustainable use of raw materials and preserve the environment. From production, packaging and shipping to our in-house renewable energy generation, we are always working to optimise our company’s environmental footprint.
FSC certification

Responsible forestry

The procurement of raw materials from resource-conserving sources is just as important to Rauch GmbH as environmentally friendly finishing processes. After all, nature and environmental protection does not just begin in the office. For this reason, we have opted for certification in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC-C127156), an organization for ensuring and continuously improving responsible forest management. This also enables us to offer our customers a fully traceable production chain for FSC-certified products.

Our environmental program

The sustainability goal for Rauch GmbH is clearly defined. We want to become a fully climate-neutral company, the earlier the better. The efficient use of resources and energy, the generation of electricity from our in-house photovoltaics plant and the reduction of plastic to zero when producing and packaging our paper are thereby fundamental. We also place great value on the certificates held by our suppliers, including in terms of freshwater consumption, carbon reduction or FSC®, i.e. the use of primary pulp from certified, sustainably managed timber plantations. For example, Hahnemühle has been producing vegan art paper from the fibres of fast-growing plants which contain zero animal ingredients, no pesticide and require very little water for cultivation since as early as 1965.

Our own photovoltaic system

Fuelling the sun for a sustainable future

Our photovoltaic system on the roofs of our two buildings is a central component of our sustainability initiative. With the most modern technology and a total output of 120 KWp and 40 Kwh of battery storage, the photovoltaic system generates clean energy from sunlight. This sustainable energy source not only helps to reduce our CO2 emissions, but will also lower our energy costs in the long term. The installation on our roof symbolises our ambition to actively contribute to the promotion of renewable energy and to leave a positive ecological footprint.

Our parcel provider, DPD, is also taking responsibility on behalf of its customers and recipients as well as for its employees and the social environment in which we are active. Always on board: climate-neutral parcel transport without additional costs for customers and recipients. Innovative solutions ensure the ongoing reduction of the carbon footprint. Unavoidable transport emissions are offset via investments in projects for renewable energy and clean energy generation.
The integrated DPD management system was certified by DNV GL Business Assurance Zertifizierung & Umweltgutachter GmbH in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 Environment.
