“Photo Rag” was designed for digital use with the structure, the feeling and the grace of traditional materials. It is distinguished by its velvety, white surface and it consists of 100% cotton. Thus it is suitable for photographic use and photo-realistic reproductions. “Photo Rag” is available in three weights, a medium, a heavy and also a board quality with a mat inkjet coat on one side. This product was designed with regard to the exacting user in such a way that is can be used for all prints the look and surface of which require a high quality. “Photo Rag” achieves a harmoneous high color intensity and exact sharpness of outline with both, pigmented and dye-based inks on various printing systems. All the fine papers and board from the mould made paper mill at Hahnemühle are manufactured in accordance to DIN 6738 / ISO 9706. All papers produced as per these standards are 100% acid-free and have a neutral phvalue, so that they are extremely non-ageing over several centuries.

For quality reasons the processing and storage of Mould-made Paper „Photo Rag“ should take place in a climate from 35-65% relative humidity and at a temperature from 10-30°C. For all bookbinding techniques, the grain direction needs to run parallel to the spine of the book. Therefore: Short grain sheets need to be bound on the short side. Long grain sheets need to be bound on the long side.
